Just a Few More…
Squirrels and things…. please. Let me indulge for a little while longer. You have no idea how many hours I am spending watching these little things.
Lenny & Squiggie, these names were chosen by Tracie and agreed by myself & Glo.
They used to be OK together but I notice now they seem to aggravate each other and fight more frequently.
Lenny having a snack.
This might be Squiggy doing the same!
Ah, now I’m pretty sure this is Squiggy. Lenny is definitely more grey on the body but I think Squiggy has more red in his colouring.
Hey! Mind your fingers! The crunchy bits are your knuckles!
OK! Enough of the Squigglets! How about my rabbits?
I have two elders… these two, I believe are the parents of the victims of the Killer Cat attack! Now, I want you to look closer to one of them… the bigger of the two. Firstly here they are.
(I think if you double click on these you should get bigger ones.)
The one on your left, as you can see, has a good and normal looking eye.
Actually, that is the only eye he has! I first noticed two weeks ago and I thought he must have myxomatosis but then I noticed he was getting no worse. I managed to take a good look through the camera and alas, he has only one eye!
Can you see? This is the not-so-good eye. I’ll have to keep trying to get a good shot.. (with the camera!)
Oh and then there was this little guy!
“I think this is my best side!”
Too cute.

Well, you certainly don’t need the nature channel with such a view right out your window! I’m sorry about the bunny’s bad eye. I think the bird is checking if it’s okay he’s got his feet in his food.

haha Nikki! and his bottom! For goodness sake who’s gonna want to eat it now!
The squigletts have no fear it seems, they know I’m there but I thnk they are also aware of the seperation with the glass so they let me click away. The rabbits are on the bottom part of the garden so a little more difficult to capture a good photograph.

What a wonderful wildlife menagerie! Let’s hope that rabbit one-eye is okay.
I’ve been seeing sparrows lately on the plot, and feeders. xx

Hi Flighty, the sparrow was a little cheeky chap wasn’t he! Nice though. Isn’t it just typical that I would have a one-eyed rabbit! Rabbit one-eye is quite a title I think!
THe squigglets are just adorable too! I might have to look at getting a video together but that might be pushing my technical abilities to the very limit! xx

Enjoyed to update on the little critters and also the strange rabbit.
July 10, 2009 at 8:48 am
Thanks Steve, yes all the strange ones to seem to gather at my place! I wonder why! hehe

That bird posed perfectly!
Now, if you could just get an eye patch for that bun…
Squirrels are cute, the names are just icing on the, um, peanut?
July 12, 2009 at 9:00 am
I’d like to get a bunny-patch! I thik it would give him extra character. (I’ve just chased that darn cat out of may garden! I’m sure the neighbours think I’m demented!)

I so enjoy your little friend pictures
They make me happy. I guess I will have to take a picture or two of the lizards that live in our bushes. That is the only wildlife I see….
July 12, 2009 at 9:01 am
I like lizards! I’m sure I’ve posted photos of some Croatian Lizards I befriended on holiday! Very cute!
July 10, 2009 at 3:59 pm
aww how cute are those squirrels!
I don’t get many birds in my garden x
July 12, 2009 at 9:02 am
I get so many I feel very priveledged. I’ve just been watching the jackdaws being bullied by a squirrel and a Jay! (The jackdas are not so tough now!)

Cute cute cute!! I guess I’m glad we don’t have squirrels in our yard, though – the dogs would find them a little too interesting.
July 12, 2009 at 9:03 am
Your dogs would certainly have allday play pals! My inlaws have a greyhound who thinks he has died and gone to heaven when he comes up to our house. We don’t let him out though! I can’t imagine the carnage!

Nice pics…. go sit outside with some peanuts in yer lap, it won’t take long before you’re wearing squigglets…. LOL
July 12, 2009 at 9:04 am
They are certainly brave enugh Chippy, problem is, I am not! hehe
July 11, 2009 at 10:21 am
I would be just like you if I had that much nature in my garden-hmm come to think of it I spend far too much time tortoise watching and trying to get pictures of uncooperative birds
July 12, 2009 at 9:05 am
The majority of my visitors are very uncooperative! I just persevere and hope for the best! (Out of every one hundred snaps one is usually ok!)

So now you’re telling me not only do you have an army of terrorist baby squirrels, but you are also dealing with anarchist rabbits??!! I don’t envy your position. Call MI-5.
July 12, 2009 at 9:07 am
I think the rabbits are MI 5 of the underworld (burrow MI-5?) I also believe the woodpigeons are bird spys passing info on to the Cheif Rabbit!
July 12, 2009 at 1:35 am
The squirrels are so cute. I love the bird too. The rabbit story is kind of sad.
July 12, 2009 at 9:08 am
It is sad Ruth but I think he is thriving. He is the biggest rabbit I have seen for a while and seems quite happy and alert.

They’re very cute, but I’ll always remember trying to grow a vegetable garden (back in the mists of time). I planted some corn, and the blighters nibble a row off each ear. They also enjoyed the tomatoes.
