That and This :o)

Well there is no rule that says that it can’t be ‘That & This’.  It doesn’t _have_ to be ‘This & That’.  I can say ‘butter & bread’ and I can say ‘fork & knife’… I’m so rebellious sometimes!

I’m just wondering if Andrea is going to fall through the ceiling above me whilst she is stomping away upstairs.  All I said was ‘tidy your room!’  I wonder where she got a herd of elephants from at this time of night?

Talking of elephants, when I was over at ThomasLB’s place the other night I saw this.  As you can see in my comment I mention that my brother bought me a note pad made of recycled elephant poo and paper.  Hey! if it’s wrapped up in good packaging you can forget what it really is. :o )

and this is it! Handy for taking ‘little messages’ off the telephone.

Well tonight when I arrived home the very lovely-super DivaStar had sent me this fantastic Ellie poo notebook.  Made from 100% recycled dung! Fanflippingtastic!

Yay! I love it.  It was accompanied by the best postcard!

I think he is in trouble for getting his Sunday best mucky! :o )

The only other thing I wanted to mention was this…. I realise I may not have mentioned this before, it must have slipped my mind but I did get a new car this week.  Yes, I know, I can’t imagine how I managed to forget! *rubs head*

Anyway… would you like to take a peek?

She’s very pretty…

Don’t get too excited, or worse than that, don’t get over excited!

 *Daffy drools*

Other news?

Andy and her dad and her uncle are off fishing tomorrow so lets all pray to fish gods for a good catch!

I’m getting a millimetre or two cut off my hair tomorrow.

We are all off to my neices’ 21st birthday party tomorrow night!

  1. OMG, so want poocards.
I would write cute notes on them for people I don’t like and then I’d “accidently” spill water on their card.
    Mu hahaha.

And MEOW on the ride! The people parking in the pub park are going to be J-E-A-L-O-U-S!!!

A millimeter off your hair? Isn’t that like, nothing? I understand though :)

  2. daffy Says:

Stephanie, aren’t they brilliant! So cool and I feel like I am doing my ‘bit’ you know?
Water on a poo card could be messy….and smelly! *wicked grin*
I’m terrible about my hair! I want to have all these wonderful styles but I refuse to have anything cut off it! Well, at least I’ll get rid of a dead end or two! :o )

  3. Carol Says:

Are you loving your new car with the steering wheel on the WRONG side??? It’s very pretty.

I like your poo cards and notebook. Do they also make them out of cow pies? I would think that that would be easier to come by.

  4. mjgolch Says:

    Happy Birthday to your Neice.

  5. Recycled elephant poo? I had no idea it could be turned into something stable enough to writer on.

Congrats again on the new transport.

  6. Glo Says:

Tusk, tusk! Well, that set me off on a search for more! I wondered, for example, if there was panda poo paper since pandas eat so much fibrous bamboo, and it passes right on through…and so there is, tons of it… and also sheep poo paper, rhino poo paper ~ just check out these sites:

It was all news to me, so thanks for increasing my awareness of this entrePOOneurial venture. ;) Seems those remarkable dung beetles have been long aware of the possibilities and may even have little underground paper factories …

As for your car, what a beaut! Here’s to many happy driving miles in your heated seats. ;)

Good luck to the fisherpersons tomorrow. What will you be up to while they’re gone??

    Great post!

  7. daffy Says:

Glo hi! Well I never! Look at the poosabilities we have for writing little notes on! I like the idea of sending a card on Panda poo paper!
The fisherpersons are gone… the early bird catches the worm..to catch the fish…to feed the hungry….(Isn’t that a song?) On no! I’m thinking of the woman who ate the fly! I don’t know why she ate the fly…
I have to stop this! hahaha
Happy Hippie dot com! Fantastic! :o )
Today, I am going to pick up my mum-in-law to take her for her hair appointment. (She doesn’t believe in letting me sleep in on a weekend so it’s a 9am appointment!) Then I’ll be collecting my dad for shopping. (and he wants a new light fitting and a lemon for his fridge!) Then I’ll be doing what any girl should do before a party… I’ll be sorting out something to wear… not from my wardrobe though… I’ve looked and there is nothing in there! ;o)
Have a great weekend Glo and thanks for the pooformation! xx
    .
Ruth, it seems that one mans rubbish is another mans treasure! For sure! They really are a good idea. If you click on the link for Thomas’ place it has a link for a great site! (As well as Glo’s fantastic finds too!)
    .
Thanks Mike! 21! I can still remember when I was 21… although I was a married mummy by then! She is still making the most of her youth thank the lord! We might have to have a dance or two tonight!
    .
Carol… *shakes head* It’s no good Carol, I’ll have to swap sides! I’m sure I have a hammer and monkey wrench somewhere! (Why is it called a monkey wrench?)
The car is lovely, I just have to make sure I don’t have to park in a tiny parking spot! I need lots and lots of space!! (Actually I probably need the same amount as I did when I had a smaller car!)
    :o )
Oh and NO! You can’t make anything out of cow pies!! What would Desperate Dan eat? :o )

  8. Anvilcloud Says:

I guess poo is a fine thing. May you always have as much o fit as you want or need. :)

  9. Flighty Says:

What a lovely smiley entry full of poosh things!
Nice car, and for anyone wondering the colour is called silver leaf.
I hope that you’ve had a good day and have a great time this evening.
How did the anglers get on today? Did Andrea outdo the guys again!
I see that Glo is on form with her comment and terrific links.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend! xx

  10. Philip Says:

Now I wonder if cow dung will make good paper. It is, of course, just another form of grass! The only uses I know are to use it as mortar or chinking between the logs of a barn and if the cow patty is good and dry shellac it and and make a clock out of it.

Nice wheels! Now that you own it it is a used car.
Remember when it was a new car!

  11. laura b. Says:

Your car is a beaut alright! And ellie poo! That is sooo cool! I can’t stop exclaiming!

  12. boso Says:

I love your new car. I love your new car. Did I mention that I LOVE that car?

  13. In the U.S., the 21st birthday party is a bachanalian introduction to legal drinking. Is that the case? Or is your drinking age 18? i can’t remember…

    Either way, HAVE FUN!

  14. chrisb Says:

He he what a coincidence I have some pictures of “elephant poo’ items that I took a couple of months ago with blogging in mind!

  15. Dawn Says:

Sounds like a busy time, with new cars, birthday parties and elephant poo.

  16. Tracie Says:

Well, to be greeted by an elephant’s patootie! I remember in 6th grade watching filmstrips with a lady droning on about Native Americans using buffalo chips to start their fires. So I guess poo use has a long and illustrious career. Your car is lovely. And, in the spirit of the day, may I say, May your life be like toilet paper… long and useful!

  17. thedailydish Says:

OOooh Daff, your car is BRILLIANT. I will imagine myself riding in it now. The wind in my hair. The envious looks of all those we are zooming past. Ahhhhhh.

Love the poo goods. I saw a show where they explained the whole process – but in that case they were making poo flower pots. It was fascinating. No smell at all!

  18. love the new wheels! send me your addy and i’ll mail off some change to throw on the backseat for good luck!

as for the poo-pads…um, i don’t think i can quite get past the poo part. sorry. i’m a tree killer, what can i say?

  19. lady_drid Says:

I have never known about “recycled elephant poo” Very interesting… Great idea!!! Well, I hope the poo(instead of ivory) of these beautiful animals attracts the attention of all people.
Congratulations, Daffy! Your car is really wonderful, I’m drooling too. lol Hugs.

  20. divastar Says:

Glad you liked it sweetie! I’m kinda back for a bit, hoping to stay this time. I think I can finally see some light at the end of the tunnel so lets hope it’s a bright new day and not just my eyes playing tricks ;o)
