The Problem is…
that I have nothing to say.
Nothing much to share.
This week has gone by in a blur.
So, whilst I take a little more time to gather my thoughts and think of something suitably wonderful to share, I’ll leave a couple of music ideas for you to find and sample…
I’d be very interested to read your opinions.
Bruce Springsteen From the Album Magic – Devils Arcade
(Mas and I have been giving our versions of what the lyrics mean this week.)
Robert Plant and Alison Krauss Album Raising Sand -Killing the Blues
I also think you should try…
Elvis Costello and The Attractions Album Punch The Clock – Shipbuilding.
Lastly…even after my rather disappointing concert this song is still lyrically beautiful..
Van Morrison from The Best of Album – Queen of the Slipstream.

Nothing to say! Nothing to share! That’s not like you at all is it. Enjoy the rest of the weekend. xx
Oh yes, I received a parcel this morning full of wonderful goodies, which I shall do an entry about sometime soon. xx

“that I have nothing to say.”
Hmmm…I could have sworn you were female…..
I’m not sure I have heard any of those songs. Guess I’ll have to look them up…however, should you care to share…I do accept emails

Devils Arcade is my favourite song on Magic. It is a very dramatic song when performed live on the new tour.

Hmm…those men sure have enough to say, and it wasn’t very nice. Having nothing to say happens to all of us, despite what the naysayers (men) have to say.

Don’t worry, it’s not compolsory! However, I’m sure it won’t be long before the muse comes upon you again….In fact I think I hear the little wheels grinding away already!!!

I’m having a week like that too. Sometimes it’s just that our minds turn in other directions.

I see you like a lot of old school stuff. Have you listened to the Gypsy Kings doing Hotel California?

Daffy, how I wish you were here entertaining (and being entertained by) these crazy cats. I wonder how they’d react to some of your music….

Big Eyes – I was having a quiet period… we women need them when the men in our lives are driving us mad! ;o)
.
Thanks Steffi, it was not a bad weekend although it went by in the blink of an eye!
.
Hi CCL, I seem to remember you once did a great entry on music back on P27. Am I right?
) Nice chocolate though eh?
) xx

)
.
Flighty – Yay for the postman!
.
Sirdar – When I get some time I will e-mail a couple of youtube links. Devils Arcade is a very deep and poignant track, I don’t think you have to be Springsteen fan. I’m not often short of things to say, it came as a bit of a surprise! Nice to know you and Big Eyes were supporting me though! lol
.
Slider – It is without doubt one of the most interesting and affecting tracks I have heard in a very long time. I tried to get tickets to see him in the UK but the only tickets available are seriously overpriced, while I know it would be worth it it’s just a little out of my price range at the moment. I saw him back in 90/91 at Milton Keynes Bowl and the concert was fantastic.
.
Dawn – haha, Naysayers! Very good. I’ll be back on form shortly and those two had better watch out!
.
Harry – Hi, Every now and then I have a dry spell! My dad says it is impossible. I loved your entry today by the way. Dawns’ Naysayers should get a mention. I’ll put a link in my next entry.
.
AC – Yes I agree, I have had a little bit more than usual to think about lately. Thaks for calling by!
.
Boso – *waves* When you say ‘old’ you mean, ‘known for a while’ don’t you? *winks* How are you my friend and your lovely family? I suppose the little one is not so little anymore! x
.
Radio Nowhere is a great track Sppadic but I seem to hit track 6 and 11 the most. I love ‘Girls in their Summer clothes’ Magic is a great album, have you managed to secure tickets to see him this year?
.
Nick – Not sure of your musical tastes but I’d be interested to see what you thought. If you like the track by Robert and Alison I highly recommend the album.
.
PI – I’ve heard the Gipsy Kings before and I once had a copy of their album Volare! I loved Inspiration. You reminding me of The Big Lebowski has made me dig out some of my Carter Burwell gems! Just about every Coen Brothers film has the score by Carter. I think he did the score for Conspiracy Theory as well. Now I want to watch Fargo..Raising Arizona and Millers Crossing!
Thanks for the link, I loved it. He has some mighty tight trousers on doesn’t he! ;o)

I could look at your pictures of those lovely cats all day. Nick (Nicks Bytes – link on side bar) has a rather lovely photogenic cat called Alex and I think he has his own blog. You might be interested to take a peek. Then you may realise that you are not alone with your own two little handfuls. ;o) xxx
